The gymnasium has over 200 pieces of cutting edge user friendly gym equipment as well as a vast selection of free weights and functional fitness equipment. The gym club has large sprung floored studios with mirrored walls and air conditioning to ensure the perfect fitness workout. The gymnasium offers an extensive timetable of varied fitness classes each week that appeal to all. Including Yoga, Spin, Kick Boxing, Body Combat and Aerobics classes. There's also the more unique fitness classes such as V-Classes. Our aerobics classes are the envy of the Preston area.

Swimming
The health club has a massive 25m swimming pool. Swimming lessons are available for adults and children on an individual or group basis or try an aqua class for a workout that’s easy on the joints.
For children there is a fun pool which has been designed in the style of an oversized bathroom and features a giant duck slide, bath taps that pour with water, toothbrushes that stand to attention and fountains that jet water unexpectedly. Learner swimming lanes have been included as well as a shallow area for mothers and babies.
For complete relaxation in the health club the spa area is a haven. The spa area encompasses a huge hydrotherapy pool where you can sit back and let the different massage jets gently soothe. Surrounding the pool is the sauna, steam room and sanarium. A sanarium combines the effects of a sauna and steam whilst maintaining a comfortable humidity.
Kids Club
At Virgin Active, Junior gym club membership is just as impressive as the adult gym club offering. Club-V is where adults can leave their children safe in the knowledge that they’re being cared for by registered Ofsted staff. Club-V kids club offers physical activity fitness classes (Blast!), supervised swimming timetable (Splash) or the entertainment side of things (Kidsville). Within Kidsville there’s a choice of arts and crafts, PlayStations, TV chill out area or a multi-storey soft play area.
Refreshments
If you need a snack, meal or a takeaway service after a fitness workout, Crunch is perfect for healthy and not so healthy eating! Crunch stocks a range of refreshments, freshly squeezed orange, shakes, smoothies and Starbucks Coffee. Within the Crunch area is a Life Library with over 150 lifestyle books, magazines and daily newspapers. You can also check up on your emails as we offer free internet access.
